Biography

David Taylor was hired at Slippery Rock State College as a professor in the Chemistry Department in the fall of 1968. Taylor specialized in Analytical Chemistry but taught courses on varying subjects including basic Math and English courses as well as Aviation Meteorology. In the 1970’s Taylor got involved with the Environmental Science Program and went on to teach the course “The University: Thinking and Change.” From 1979 to 1987 Taylor was the director of the Slippery Rock University Planetarium, known as the Rocket Room. Taylor retired from the Department of Chemistry and Physics in 2004.

Twenty-three 35mm color slides used for a presentation about the Alter Project (now the Macoskey Center) to the Slippery Rock Rotary club in late August or early September 1990. The images include maps and plans for the Alter Project and photographs of some interior construction work and exterior plantings and water features.
