Series 3: Writings
Scope and Contents
This series features an extensive collection of written works by Nien Cheng, encompassing both her published and unpublished materials. Among the highlights are manuscript drafts, galley proofs, and handwritten drafts for her memoir. Additionally, the series includes records and drafts from other published writings, as well as miscellaneous unpublished stories and notes that may represent Cheng's early concepts or intentions for a second manuscript.

Conditions Governing Access
Access to the collection requires an advanced appointment. Many of the contents in Series 8: Audiovisual Material were professionally created by other organizations and under copyright, or may be still undergoing digitization efforts. From the Collection: 24.14 Linear Feet (8 record cartons, 3 document cases, 12 archives boxes, two oversized flat folders.) : The archive is approximately 24.14 linear feet in size and the library contains 300+ hardback and paperback 20th-century to 2009 volumes in both English and Chinese.
