Scope and Contents
This series features a collection of memorabilia and ephemera associated with Nien Cheng, highlighting her achievements and advocacy work. Included are awards, plaques, and certificates presented to Cheng in recognition of her contributions. The collection also contains textiles, notably an American flag dedicated to Cheng upon her naturalization as a U.S. citizen in 1988, along with items of clothing and other materials. Additionally, the series... houses miscellaneous oversized posters documenting Cheng’s lectures and appearances following the publication of Life and Death in Shanghai.
