This collection consists of records documenting Robert Smith’s career at Slippery Rock University. The bulk of the material is from 1999-2012, and includes papers and correspondence relating to the conclussion of G. Warren Smith as president and Robert Smith’s transition into the presidency. The collection also includes awards, photographs, various print and digital media, publications, memorabilia, and ephemera.

Materials Specific Details

Figure was hand carved by a student from an Art Institute in Bretislav. The figure was given to Robert M. Smith from an Ambassador who was visiting Pittsburgh at the time. SRU became the 1st institution in the U.S. to develop exchange programs with the Czech Republic following the Cold War.
