The collection encompasses meeting minutes (1972-1985), documents, news clippings, as well as assorted reports and booklets related to the Board of Governors of the State System of Education.

This collection contains materials from various events and activities in the town of Slippery Rock and with Slippery Rock State College/University. Material types include general records including local news releases, flyers, programs, and copied news clippings. Other materials include records regarding the Slippery Rock Heritage Association and the Slippery Rock Heritage Festival dating from 1986 to 2005.

This collection contains news clippings and other press releases regarding the Slippery Rock Downtown Revitalization Project of 2002.

This collection, dated 1984, includes papers, memorandums, and Slippery Rock University News releases regarding the Economic Development Planning of Lawrence County; a joint effort of Slippery Rock University and county leaders to develop a long-range plan for the economic development of Lawrence County. Also included is a Progress Report on Economic Development from the Institute of Social Science Research, dated November of 1984.

The contents of this collection include Faculty Professional Development Council Update newsletters (1988-1993), a copy of “Transformations: A Curriculum Transformation Resource” by Jace Condravy, and State System of Higher Education Summer Academy for the Advancement of College Teaching records, and the 1996-1997 Professional Development Council Guidelines and RFPs for the FPDC grants programs. Also included in RG 1-11-2-P-1 are Values Newsletters (1994-1997).

The contents of this collection include correspondence, informative brochures, and two issues of an informative publication regarding the organization, Friends of the 14 Pennsylvania Universities. The fourteen Pennsylvania campuses referred to include Bloomsburg, California, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, and West Chester.

This collection consists of Master Plans for Higher Education in Pennsylvania (1967 and 1978), SRU Master Plan (2007), and correspondence and news releases.

This collection includes papers and publications relating to the history of the Mercer County, Pennsylvania area. Included is a Mercer County brochure, written history of coal mining in the Mercer County area, a Mercer County Historical Society newsletter (December 1998), Mercer County History, spring 1971, and The Travel Diary of Dr. James Magoffin Jr: from Ireland to Mercer, PA in 1821.
