Content Description

This collection shows the academic, social, and personal life of Slippery Rock State Teachers College (SRSTC) graduate Marjorie Banks from 1957 to 1961. The collection contains a diverse array of materials that reflect Banks' active involvement in campus activities, including her role as editor of the student publication The Rocket and her membership in the Sigma Tau Delta sorority.

The materials are comprised of personal scrapbooks documenting Banks' time at SRSTC, photographs, other items of memorabilia, and textiles. Select issues of The Rocket offer insights into her editorial contributions.

1 Saxigena Yearbook (1961) was deaccessioned from collection and transferred to existing Saxigena Collections. Marjorie Banks can be found on pages 93, 57, and 27. Joan Hineman, friend and roommate of Marjorie Banks, can be found on pages 53 and 102.
