Biographical / Historical
The Slippery Rock University Women's Center, which first opened in 1991, was established to promote academic, political and social growth and to provide support and referrals for women and men. Focusing on workshops, programs, and referral services, the center is a safe haven for men and women to find support. Today, the Women's Center provides education, advocacy, and support regarding topics of gender, feminism, sexism, and sexual assault.
