Scope Note: Orr Auditorium, a proscenium theatre/recital hall opened in 1962, is the only facility of its kind on campus. It is a multi-purpose space that is heavily booked by a variety of users throughout the college's academic year. Within the limits of its size and equipment, the 1728-seat hall is suitable for recitals, concerts, plays, lectures, conferences, films and commencement or award ceremonies. Orr Auditorium is an extension of the college's School of Music, home to the Westminster College Celebrity Series and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concert series and utilized by many of the college's departments.More information at: https://www.westminster.edu/about/community/celebrity-series/orr-auditorium.cfm
