This collection consists of records documenting Slippery Rock University’s history from 1889 to approximately 2019. The bulk of the material is from 1889 through 1999. The collection includes papers and correspondence, reports, publications, photographs, audiovisual materials, ephemera, realia, and memorabilia. Also included are postcard collections and scrapbooks.

Biographical / Historical

James Elmore Morrow served as Principal of Slippery Rock State Normal School from 1889 to 1890. Morrow's daughter, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, was the wife of pioneer aviator Charles Lindbergh. Aside from both Charles and Anne's notable accomplishments in aviation, their son, Charles Jr. was infamously kidnapped in 1932 and often referred to as the "Lindbergh Baby" case.
