Biographical / Historical
The fundraiser sold certificates for square inches of Slippery Rock Township land (where N. Kerr Thompson lived and farmed as a youth). The land was located exactly one mile Northwest of Slippery Rock on the Venango Trail, now West Water Street. All proceeds supported the Slippery Rock Veterans Club and Survival Unlimited: a Survival Education Association organization that promoted survival classes and clinics throughout the U.S.
