The James Roberts Collection includes various memorandums sent by James Roberts as acting president of Slippery Rock State College. Most contents included are news clippings following the search for a permanent president of Slippery Rock State College in 1977 as well as news clippings regarding the food service court case of 1977.

Biographical / Historical

James Roberts, former vice president for Academic Affairs, became acting president of Slippery Rock State College in 1976 following the dismissal of President Albert Watrel. Roberts remained acting president until the 1977 academic year.
