Scope Note: Mabel Blyth Award Ceremony - Each year the Town Gown Association recognizes one community resident, one faculty/staff member and one student whose activities have fostered good relations between the university and community to each be awarded the Mabel Blyth Award. The award was instituted as a memorial to Mabel Poe Blyth, a resident of Slippery Rock many years ago. Blyth spent a great deal of her time to improve relations between the university and the community.
