Scope and Contents
The Robert and Karen Watson Collection documents the professional career, scholarly interests, institutional involvement of Robert Watson as well as the Watson family with Slippery Rock University. The collection includes material spanning from approximately 1877 to 2025. Contents include paper and printed material including correspondence, speeches, research files, administrative records, and other collected histories. A large portion of the collection consists of memorabilia and ephemera relating to the history of Slippery Rock University and the surrounding areas of Butler County, Pennsylvania. Additional series include photographs, publications, audiovisual material, and assembled binders containing postcards, original photographs, and other ephemera.
